T1 Harcher
T1 Harcher, crafted by Paris-based type designer Ethan Nakache, is a high-contrast serif that merges Renaissance-era letterforms with forms inspired by stone-carved typography—reinterpreted through a contemporary digital lens. The result is a typeface that balances disciplined elegance with a confident, modern edge.
Sharp, chiselled serifs meet flowing curves, arched strokes, and subtle terminal drops, creating a texture that feels both crisp and soft. This interplay between precision and fluidity gives Harcher a distinctive voice—refined yet expressive, classical yet forward-looking. Its uppercase set draws particular influence from monumental carved forms, lending a sense of authority and permanence.
Designed for impact, Harcher performs with striking impact at display sizes while maintaining composure and readability in smaller applications and introductory text. The family includes eight weights with full Latin support, offering a wide range for nuanced typographic expression across editorial design, fashion contexts, and expressive branding.
An additional OpenType stylistic set introduces chiselled serif alternatives for lowercase letters, providing a sharper, more pronounced tone when needed—expanding the typeface’s range from elegant restraint to bold articulation
